KWEF depends on our supporters to fund our operating expenses which are mainly directors insurance and website fees. KWEF is completely volunteer-run.

Everyone who helps with the Water Quality Monitoring project donates their time and the use of their boat, gas etc. It’s been calculated that if we had to pay minimum wages and expenses for travel and use of boats Water Quality Monitoring project alone would cost us over $5000/year. We truly are indebted to all our volunteers and supporters!

We are in the process of revising our Bylaws and will be making some changes to our organization's structure. The changes will make everything fully conformant with the new Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA) regulations.

KWEF is a not-for-profit organization running on a shoe-string budget, and we do so much with so little. We’d love it if you could be a KWEF supporter.

We’d love it though, if you could also send a quick email to stan.kwef@gmail.com with your contact information, so that we can thank you for your support. Unfortunately, we cannot issue donation tax receipts.
